COMMENTS ABOUT SHORT-TERM PROGRAMS. We can recommend a worth-while short-term summer program to a serious prelaw student if this student can easily commute to the program. For those not within reasonable commuting distance, the time, inconvenience, and expense of traveling to and from the program combined with the expense of a hotel room along with being forced to eat restaurant food for five, six, or seven days (and, almost as bad, being forced to pay for it) may outweigh the benefits to be gained from the program. If you attend the Law Preview Program, we recommend the six-day program.
