This program seeks to support diversity in the legal profession by inspiring students from groups historically under-represented in the law to become lawyers and by providing them with the skills and assistance that will strengthen their preparation for law school. WHO SHOULD APPLY. Especially encouraged to apply are students attending a four-year public or private college in the state of Iowa, and students attending Historically Black Colleges and Universities, Hispanic-Serving Institutions, and Tribal Colleges. However, all interested students currently enrolled in an accredited undergraduate program should apply.. EXCLUDED FROM PARTICIPATION. Students who have already completed a bachelor's degree. PROGRAM INFORMATION. To be eligible for the Indiana CLEO program, all applicants must be college graduates by the time the Summer Institute begins and must have an active application on file with one of the four law schools in Indiana. Indiana CLEO takes approxmiately 30 college graduates (minority, low-income, or educationally disadvantaged) who have applied to one or more of the state's four law schoolsand exposes them to a six-week Summer Institute immediately before they begin law school. Successful completion of the Summer Institute qualifies students for an annual stipend. LOCATION. TARGET AUDIENCE. Indiana minority, low income, or educationally disadvantaged college graduates who will enroll in an Indiana law school (Indiana University at Bloomington, Indiana University at Indianapolis, Notre Dame, and Valpariso) in Fall 2011 .
